Giant Oddities

Contract #1 down. Turns out he was at a farm type place, or mill. He was inside so it was really easy to break into the building and shove a blade down his throat. :)

On the way to the next town I saw some really cool giants.

I don't know what kind of giant that is.. but he's really cool!

Contract #2 was a little harder because he would not leave the very populated inn. I sneakily shouted him then waited for his health to slowly leech away to death. Kind of sad though, I really liked Lurbuk. Apparently people wanted him dead because they hated his singing. That's no reason to kill somebody!

A major glitch. Interestingly enough all of the floating doors still worked. Leaving the town and returning later caused everything to go back to normal.

Oooooo... pretty!

Astrid Is Stupid

The Nightmother had told me to meet a man named Amaund to get a contract from him. Astrid, however, said to ignore the Nightmother's wish and just go on a different contract. Cursing at Astrid I decided to ignore her request and follow the TRUE leader of the DB's wishes instead. I had no idea if it would work for i'd never tried doing anything like it in my life. So while Astrid thought I was leaving the DB sanctuary to do her bidding, I was really heading off in the direction of the ruins that the man Amaund was hiding in.

I arrived and didn't realize where I was until I saw the familiar form of the seated skeleton just inside the entrance. OH shoot! I thought..However he proved to be easy to sneak past. Further into the ruins a curious and somewhat disturbing sight met me. I was creeping along when I realized the ruins were unusually quiet. This usually means trouble! But then I saw this:
Dead enemies all over the place! Why were they dead?! Did something kill them? Did some events happen triggered by my actions that caused this? Or is this an unforseen game glitched cause by one of my mods? I felt a little creeped out by it all. Doubly creepy was that one of the dead enemies was a very TOUGH enemy called a Gloom Wraith. This is one that made the fur on the back of my neck stand on end because if it had been alive I surely would be at it's mercy. I'm not yet strong enough to stand a chance against a gloom wraith. He was carrying a very powerful blade which I traded my left handed blade for. Now my blades are mismatched but i'm stronger!

Here is the man I was to meet. I was greatful to see he was there even though I was not yet supposed to be. He gave me the contract and all went well! In the normal storyline my next task would be to give his contract to Astrid so she can tell me what to do with it, so back to the DB sanctuary I went!

I came accross a very curious sight. A skeleton arm is sticking out of the water of a rather shallow pond holding a sword. I rushed forth to have a look at the sword because this setting makes it look VERY important! Alas.. it was a weak, crap sword. I liked the way this scene looked so I just left it there without touching anything. Apparently the skeleton itself is buried in the mud. I wonder what events happened to cause this? Who was this skeleton at one point? Was he even a man before?

A dragon decided to attack on the way and while I've never successfully killed a dragon by myself I figured it was time to get some practice in with my new blade! Unfortunately I didn't have the pleasure because the dragon never landed to fight me.

As night was falling and my approach of the sanctuary came two dragons flew in the distance, threatening me with their thundering voices. I have to admit it did make my fur bristle.

As soon as I reached the sanctuary I greeted Astrid and tried to tell her of the news of Amaund, but she would not hear any of it. The quest would not let me progress this way. Bummed, my next task is to prepare for Astrid's contracts.

Befriending The Nightmother

With my two victims killed my next task is to head back to Markarth to pick up payment for them. On the way I was just riding my horse, plodding along, when i'm distracted by this domesticated dog just sitting on the side of the road. I slow to a stop but by the time i've hopped off my horse he's already disappeared into the forest underbrush. I quickly followed the trail he took and came to a shack. Inside was the sight of Meeko and his deceased master. It's always a sad sight to see things like this. I payed my respects to his master, before taking Meeko under my wing as my new companion. (Sorry this picture is so hard to see)

Recieving my payment in Markarth:
Affection? I don't want any affection from you.. >.>

Next stop: The sanctuary for my next contracts. On the way I was passing this old fort guarded by skeletons, which isn't a very unusual sight.. but the sight of a person casually walking into it without being attacked was! I slowed to a stop and stared..
Hmm.. necromancers.. interesting. *makes mental note of the existence of this place*

Some shots from our ride to the sanctuary. The forest really is a beautiful place.

Meeko and I slowly plodded along, enjoying the sounds of wildlife and birds, and the sights.

When I arrived at the sanctuary I was presented with the annoyance of Astrid being paranoid about Cicero.. She wanted me to hide in the nightmother's coffin and spy on him to see who he was talking to..which is a very disrespectful thing to do! I hated the idea, but had no choice but to comply. I hopped into the coffin and shamelessly snuggled up to the nightmother's bones, then waited.

Soon enough Cicero came in to talk to her and I listened.

Then the nightmother spoke to me.

When instructed by the nightmother to talk to Cicero I popped out of the coffin!

Then, paranoid witch that she is, Astrid rushed in to see what all the yelling was about! "Oh noo! The end of the world is happening in this room!!! I must stop it!! "

When Astrid finally left I had some heart to heart talk with Cicero.
XD Yes, we should be! Oh Cicero how I love you.
